Rockhill Studios Excels At The Bentonville Film Festival
Five years ago, Academy Award winner Geena Davis and Inclusion Companies CEO Trevor Drinkwater, co-founded the Bentonville Film Festival to facilitate actionable change toward balanced, diverse and inclusive media. The Film Festival is meant for all film lovers, but especially those that appreciate inclusion and diversity in the film industry, and showcases films by female and diverse filmmakers.
This year, the event was sponsored by Walmart and Coca-Cola and was held from May 7 to May 11, in Bentonville, AR. Rockhill Studios screened two films at the festival: “To the Stars” and “Sweet Inspirations.” "To the Stars" was invited to screen as a spotlight film after its success at Sundance Film Festival. We’re also proud to announce that “Sweet Inspirations” was the Jury Award Winner for Best Family Film!
We held screening celebrations at 21C Museum Hotel and First National Bank of NWA in Bentonville, and Kerri Elder, our co-owner and executive producer was a part of two discussion panels: “From the Director’s Chair: Development to Finance Discussion” and “The Reel Deal.”
As part of the discussion, she promoted Northwest Arkansas as a top tier digital media production destination and shared her finance expertise alongside many other diverse producers and directors.
Moreover, as a one-stop shop for all your film and video production needs in Fayetteville, AR, Rockhill Studios is at the center of digital media production in the region of Fayetteville, and we represented Arkansas at the Film Festival with great pride.
